What is a VPS and how is it different from shared hosting?
A VPS is a whole virtual server that is yours: your own operating system, root access and SSH, and you install whatever you want on it. Shared hosting gives you a slice of somebody else's server with their software and their limits. Compared with a big public cloud you get the same root access without hundreds of services to learn and without a bill that moves with traffic.
How quickly can I have a server, and what do I have to do?
Three steps and about three minutes. First pick a ready-made operating system from the list. Then set CPU, memory and disk with the sliders — the price updates live as you move them. Pay, and the server boots within minutes; you connect over SSH or open the console in the panel.
Which operating systems can I install?
Ready-made Linux images, Ubuntu and Debian among them. The full, current list is the dropdown in the order form, because it follows what is actually available on the platform. You can also reinstall a server with a different system later — that wipes the disk, so take a snapshot first.
What is SSH and how do I connect?
SSH is a secure way to connect to the server from your computer (a terminal). After purchase we give you a key and an address — one command and you're in. Prefer a browser window? Open the console straight from the panel.
How much does a server cost and what drives the price?
You pay per resource, not per plan: so much per vCPU, per GB of RAM, per GB of NVMe, and per GB of HDD if you add one. The first server includes a public IP. The calculator on the home page adds it up live and shows both the net and the gross amount, so the figure you see there is the figure you pay.
How do I pay and can I cancel?
Billing is monthly with no commitment — cancel whenever you like from the panel. You only pay for the resources you set.
Do I pay for traffic?
No. There is no charge for inbound or outbound transfer — download and serve as much as you like and the monthly amount does not move. That is deliberate: a bill that follows traffic is the one thing that makes a small server unpredictable.
What if I break something?
No drama. Daily snapshots let you roll the server back to an earlier state in one click. You can also reinstall the OS from scratch anytime.
What's the difference between a public IP and NAT?
A public IP means the server is reachable from the internet (you connect to it directly) — your first server gets one included. Servers without their own IP still reach out to the internet through a shared address but aren't visible from outside. You can buy an extra public IP in the panel.
Can I change resources later?
Yes. Add HDD disks and public IPs in the panel, and spin up more servers anytime. All your servers see each other on a private network.
Where is my data and who runs the service?
The service is operated by Mazura sp. z o.o. (KRS 0000971559, VAT PL1251732787), and the servers run on our own infrastructure in Poland and the European Union, under GDPR. Data-protection questions go to our Data Protection Officer at iod@webdisk.io.
